This Portfolio

I wanted a portfolio for years. I kept putting it off.

Every developer knows the feeling - you spend all day building things for others, and somehow your own presence on the internet becomes the lowest priority task on an ever-growing list. The irony isn't lost on me. I build websites for a living and didn't have one that actually represented who I am.

That changed when I finally decided to stop waiting for the 'perfect time' and just sit down and build it. No mood board, no weeks of planning. Just an IDE, a clear design instinct, and a commitment to ship something real. What you're looking at right now is that thing.

The pain point was always the same: generic portfolio templates felt wrong. Cookie-cutter layouts that look like everyone else's. I wanted something that felt cinematic - bold, opinionated, and unmistakably mine. So I started with typography and worked outward from there. The giant split-word hero, the scroll-driven parallax text, the gold accent system - every decision was intentional.

The stack is Next.js with TypeScript and full SSR for fast, crawlable pages. Tailwind CSS drives the entire design system. Lenis smooth scroll gives the page that fluid, high-end feel you notice immediately on first scroll. The loader, the reveal animations, the fixed hero that reacts to scroll depth, the staggered parallax work grid - all built from scratch, no animation libraries leaned on as a crutch.

This is the MVP. It's live. It's production. And it will keep evolving - more projects, more detail, more polish. A portfolio is never really finished. It just ships.
