adam-i.com - Corporate Redesign

This is not a freelance project. This is the work I do every day.

As a full-stack engineer at Adam-i - a Japanese technology company - I was handed full ownership of redesigning and rebuilding their corporate web presence from the ground up. Two live sites: adam-i.com and adam-i.jp (both fully supporting English and Japanese). The old system was a dated WordPress setup that had accumulated years of technical debt - slow to load, painful to update, and no longer representative of the company's capabilities.

The engagement started the way good engineering always should - with listening. I worked directly with stakeholders inside the company, understanding the brand values, the dual-market audience, and the specific pain points of the existing site. Those conversations shaped every technical and design decision that followed. No assumptions. Just clarity built from real dialogue.

The rebuild is fully powered by Next.js with TypeScript, using Server-Side Rendering (SSR) for maximum performance and complete SEO control - a critical requirement for ranking in both Japanese and English search markets. Tailwind CSS drives the design system with precision, Framer Motion handles fluid, intentional animations, and Lucide React provides a consistent icon language across every page. MongoDB backs the data layer, giving the content team structured flexibility without CMS rigidity.

Two things defined this project technically: full i18n support across Japanese and English, and a meticulously crafted dark mode / light mode system. Both required deep planning - typography that reads beautifully in both scripts, and a colour system that holds visual integrity across both themes. SEO and accessibility were engineered in from component zero: semantic HTML, structured metadata, Open Graph, and a Lighthouse score that reflects the care taken.

I managed every stage of this project in-house - from initial discovery and IDE to the final CI/CD pipeline deployed on Microsoft Azure. It is live. It is production. And it represents exactly the kind of full-ownership engineering work I bring to every role I take.
